Inspiration: Paper Cuts

I stumbled upon these absolutely stunning paper cuts by Japanese artists Hina Aoyama and Kako Ueda.

The tradition of paper cutting dates back to 6th century China and has now evolved into different cultures and styles all over the world. This type of craft is very similar to the leather cut out work that I do at Love At First Blush on Etsy, but entirely more intricate and more intensely detailed.

  1. These are amazing cutouts. I don't have the patience or a steady hand for it.
